This Roma came to me in September 2011 from its then present owner Robert D. Freeman of Seattle, Washington. I have dated this Roma based on the serial number, the ’69 stampings on the inside of the Legnano branded Magistroni crank arms, the various components and the frame finishing details. Unique to this late 60s Roma is the Reynolds 531 double-butted tubing construction that was a special order beginning in 1966.

I’m looking for a Legnano Roma Olimpiade bicycle like that shown in your blog.
Just today I saw a Legnano very similar to that in very good conditions; however I wasn’t able to find the serial number underside the bb nor in other parts of the frame. Crankset, front and rear derailleur , brakes are all Campagnolo. The actual owner argues that the bicycle should be dated around 1969.
I would ask if is it correct that in the year 1969 or 1970 the serial number wasn’t printed or the bike I saw isn’t really a Roma Olimpiade.
I finally would ask wich is the actual value market of a bicycle like that or others similar (eg Roma Olimpiade 1966 or 1967 or 1970).
